The Chaplet of St. Monica is a bead strand with a beginning tassel or hand-felted ending, 2 beads on the tail, followed by a round consisting of 6 sets of 5 beads (4 ovals and 1 marker). The 6 marker beads ask for St. Monica’s help. The main prayer used to pray the round bead set of this chaplet is the Hail Mary.
St. Monica’s life is an example of patience, charity, prayer and conversion for mothers and women.
She is the Patron Saint of alcoholics, alcoholism, difficult marriages, disappointing children, homemakers, housewives, married women, mothers, victims of abuse, victims of adultery, victims of unfaithfulness, victims of verbal abuse, widows and wives.
This chaplet is shipped with two prayer pages providing instructions on its use and with a plastic storage bag to protect both the chaplet and the prayer page. The first prayer page focuses on mothers and their children. I wrote a second prayer page with a focus on women and wives because not all women are mothers.
