Momento Mori is a Latin phrase, Remember You Must Die. A reminder of our inevitable death and our temporary life on earth.
Remember you must die. Difficult words to hear, yet offer much depth to our daily lives. A cue to use our time wisely as we live life, make wise choices and lead with love. Momento Mori has many common symbols in art such as, the skull, hourglasses and clocks, extinguished or melting candles, wintry or rotting fruit and flowers, and vanitas components. (A genre of still life painting in 17th C. Netherlands containing collections of objects symbolic of death and earthly achievements and pleasures. It called on the viewer to consider mortality and repent.) My Memento Mori designs, either bracelets or chaplets, are a reminder of how you might approach each day.
I offer the Momento Mori Bracelet Chaplet in different sizes and several colour combinations, all on stretch cord. Each chaplet comes with a prayer page. Sample images and prices are shown below.
