This chaplet, inspired by Divine Mercy, was designed for children aged three to six years. It is small, consisting of a cross, three main beads and an end bead. As the child learns new prayers, they can say them on the cross and end bead. The three main beads stay the same, “Jesus, I trust in You”. Great for small hands to hold and treasure.  

Hosting workshops for grade 2 and grade 7 students at their schools, I felt a need to create a little chaplet for very young children, primarily for junior and senior kindergarten. This chaplet was inspired by St. Faustina’s Diary and Divine Mercy. In particular, I wanted to share this beautiful prayer, “Jesus, I trust in You” with our young people. I collect old necklaces and refashion them into this chaplet, the more gaudy the beads the better! I offer this as a workshop by bringing them to kindergarten classrooms in my community and teach kids this prayer. The chaplet is made to grow with them, as they learn new prayers they can pair them with the beads. It is considerably smaller than the rosary and thereby a great place to start practicing using prayer beads. And a superb way of encouraging our young people to know Jesus!
